Pantech Element waterproof tablet has been released earlier this year with Android 3.2 Honeycomb onboard. US-based carrier AT&T currently offer the slate for $400 USD (310 EUR) off-contract.

Although Pantech confirmed that the tablet would eventually receive an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade at some point, we did not expect the company to make it available so fast.

AT&T customers who own the Pantech Element can check out more details on how to download and install the Ice Cream Sandwich update here.

The update will add an improved user interface design with GL library, support for Native Sync of AT&T Address Book, improved lock screen, Quick Settings and Detail Settings, as well as enhanced multitasking and notifications functionality.

It also brings two completely new features: Self mode and Panorama capture mode in camera, as well as Time-Laps recording function in video camera.
