Major carrier AT&T has just announced that an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update is now available for HTC Vivid. Customers who own the said smartphone can download the update manually starting today.

However, HTC Vivid won't be the last Android smartphone to get an Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade, on the contrary.

The carrier has just confirmed that eight smartphones and two tablets from its portfolio will also get the update “in the coming months.”

The following devices have been listed and are now scheduled to receive an Android 4.0 ICS update from AT&T: LG Nitro, Motorola ATRIX 2, Motorola ATRIX 4G, Pantech Burst, Pantech Element, Samsung Captivate Glide, Samsung Galaxy Note, Samsung Galaxy S II, Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket and Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9.

Although the carrier did not unveil any timetable for these updates, it's likely that each update will be announced closer to launch.
