With more than 10 million downloads on Google Play Store, ASTRO File Manager is one of the most popular file managers for Android devices.

Unfortunately, a previous update intended to improve users' overall experience actually made matters worse. Many users have already downrated the application due to the new changes, which introduces a new UI.

It appears that users complain that the application is now slow and the new UI is complete rubbish. Even though developers have apologized to those who had already updated to the latest version, the application is still affected by the issues mentioned earlier.

Metago are trying to fix some of the problems that were brought in by the previous update and announced a new small update for ASTRO File Manager.

However, this is not a major release, but a minor update that only included a few key bug fixes for Android 2.3 and Ice Cream Sandwich.

ASTRO File Manager 4.2.454 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 1.5 and up. Check it out here.
