Windows Phone 8 users might not be able to take advantage of the features and capabilities of an official Instagram client on their devices, but they can now enjoy a full-featured third-party client, 6tag.

The mobile application has landed in the Windows Phone Store today with support for uploading photos and videos to the popular service, while also enabling users to apply filters, tag friends, view posts on a map, and more.

“Customize your photos with one of several gorgeous and custom built filter effects. Share your photos and videos in a simple photo stream with friends to see - and follow your friends' photos with the click of a single button,” the app’s description reads.

The software arrives with a series of original filters, including XPro-II, Earlybird, Rise, Amaro, Hudson, Lo-fi, Sutro, Toaster, Brannan, Inkwell, Walden, Hefe, Nashville, 1977, and more, as well as with Linear and Radial Tilt-Shift blur effects.

Furthermore, it offers support for sharing on various social networks out there, including Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Tumblr and Foursquare.
