Video Effects 1.0
Google Play Store offers a whole array of video editors that you can check out. One of them is Video Effects. Although, the app has an intuitive interface but it could use some more features and an upgrade for the interface. It's also a bit slow so you will need lots of patience with it.
Sleek UI with lots of features at hand
The app doesn't come with a tutorial or any kind of instructions, although they would have been quite useful for new users who have just downloaded the app.
It launches with a nice home page, which has a beautiful wallpaper in the background but unfortunately it's the only one and it doesn't come with the option of changing it.
It's missing a settings menu, which means that you can't make any changes to the app's functions or the UI. Still, it has two icons for downloading random applications that you might like and one for checking out other apps created by the developer.
Edit your videos
It also displays ads to other applications on the home screen, which is quite unprofessional. The app automatically opens your gallery of videos and lets you pick one for editing.
However, it seems that it may also open your pictures folder but it won't let you edit any of them since the supported file formats are mp4, flv, mkv and more. It won't give you access to the camera, which means that you won't be able to record videos from inside the app.
Some filters and effects
The app automatically cuts out 15 seconds of your video, it says that in a message on the home screen but it doesn't explain why. You can change the duration of your video and pick from 15, 30, 45, 50 seconds or the original duration.
There's the option to apply some overlays on videos, but don't expect them to be exceptional. Still, you can change the transparency of overlays. Users may also apply effects, they're some filters but you can't adjust transparency or add any other things to videos.
You can preview files but only for 3 seconds. Other than that, the app doesn't allow users to change the name of files, add text or any kind of stickers. You'll have to be patient with this as it takes a lot of time to convert videos before it lets you share them online.
