Fortunately, Google Play Store is filled with all sort of launchers, one of them is Metro UI Launcher 8.1. It's a neat launcher that uses the same UI design and layout as Windows 8.1 devices. It completely changes the appearance of your phone.
Sleek design that resembles that of Windows 8.1
The app doesn't launch with a tutorial or any kind of instructions, it simply displays a changelog on the home screen together wih the option of registering for an account using your Google profile. It simply displays the Windows 8.1 interface completely changing the way your Android phone looks.
All shortcuts to features on your phone are displayed in the form of tiles on the home screen. It doesn't really come with any customization features, only the option to change the wallpaper in the background.
Get the Windows 8.1 feel
Shortcuts to your most important apps are displayed on the home screen, including to the store with additional apps, to the internet browser, messaging app, control panel, maps, camera, mail, calendar and more.
Swipe the screen up to get access to your app drawer, all applications are arranged neatly on your screen, they all have their original icons and there's the option to arrange them by name, date or usage.
There's also a search bar for finding apps faster by simply typing in their name. The app lets you change the picture associated to your account or the wallpaper on your home screen.
More features
In addition, you can access the settings menu to get more features and tools. Users can have the app display the watch on the home screen, show the Google account, recent apps, scrollbar or lock the screen.
There's also the option to arrange icons in whichever way you wish, change their colors, show previews of applications, adjust orientation or hide the android statusbar. Moreover, the app has quite a few options for the watch icon on the home screen, you can adjust its orientation and the display.
Other than that, the launcher doesn't really have any additional features but that's quite normal considering that it copies the UI of Windows 8.1. Despite the fact that it's quite stylish, the UI is simplistic and missing some essential features.
