In fact, some apps don't even require internet connection but not many of them actually work. One nice but flawed social app is MeowChat. It's cute and has some nice features, but lots of bugs and it needs some improvements.
Cute interface with some features at hand
The app launches directly with the registration page, urging people to create an account and then check out the tutorial. You can use your Facebook account to register, but it's best if you don't link it unless you really like to stay on the network.
Users are required to provide information on their birthday, although access to the app isn't limited by age even if it should be since it's used for dating purposes.
You will also need to provide information on your gender and an email address. The app won't let you continue unless you pick a picture from your gallery and crop it to add as your profile pic.
Chat with friends and meet new people
Users can link their Facebook account so it would be easier to find friends on the network. A side menu on the left gives you access to all sort of sections inside the app. The first thing that you would need to do is disable some notifications to prevent your phone from beeping all the time.
The app will provide you with lots of notifications of users favoriting you or checking out your profile. It also lets you check out random profiles of other users and fave the ones that you like the most. You can chat with users that have faved you back, send pictures or use emojis to make things interesting.
Some flaws
The app is filled with bugs and definitely needs improvements. It takes a while to send a message and has very few filters for searching through users. Still, you can explore the map and the suggestion of users who are closest to your location.
You also can't filter them by age, but that wouldn't really matter since no one is as old as they claim to be on this network. Moreover, you'll get suggestions of mainly people from Turkey meaning that the app is really popular there.
