Mathway 2.1
It's the ultimate tool if you're having trouble with mathematics and need a little bit of help to understand it better. It's filled with all sort of features that could help users learn more and solve exercises. It gives you step-by-step work and explanations, but you'll have to subscribe for that.
Sleek UI that comes with all features at hand
The app doesn't launch with a tutorial or any sort of explanations of its features, which is quite inconvenient as it would have needed some tips for new users to get an overview of its tools.
The app requires internet connection, so you can only use it if you're on WiFi or mobile data. The layout is a bit unusual, it doesn't come with material design or a side menu with quick access to its features, so you would have to get a bit used to its interface.
Solve all sort of math exercises
You get all the tools you need at the top of the screen and you need to pick from the type of math problems. You can choose from basic math, pre-algebra, algebra, trigonometry, precalculus, calculus, statistics, finite math, linear algebra and chemistry.
You can use it even if you're in college or just high-school. It sports a unique keyboard with all the tools that you might need, simply type in the exercise and let the app provide you with answers. You can have it solve exercises or tell you if the line is true or false.
More tools and options
You can use logarithms, trigonometry formulas, calculate square numbers and more. The app will provide you with results to exercises, but if you want to see step-by-step explanations of the solution, you'll need to pay.
The app requires users to register with an account, use your email address or Facebook account to do so. Pay 19.99$ per month or 99.99$ per year and the app will remove advertisements and give you mobile access to all sort of explanations, including graphs.
The price is a bit steep, but it's cheaper than what you might pay for a tutor and it does come in handy when you need some really accessible explanations.
