Internet Speed Test by SpeedSpot.org 3.4
Internet Speed Test by SpeedSpot.org is a nice app that tests your internet speed and lets you know if the network is as fast as you expected. It displays all sort of details and information, providing you everything you need to know about your WiFi network.
Intuitive UI with lots of features at hand
The app launches with a tutorial showing new users all the neat things that they can do inside the app. It doesn't use material design, but it does give you access to all sections with the toolbar at the top of the screen. It has a settings menu with lots of features and tools that you can access.
The app tests ping, download and upload speed for both cellular and WiFi connections. Your internal and external IP are also displayed. For speedtests on cellular networks SpeedSpot helps you keep track of your monthly data usage by displaying the data transferred during testing.
Test your internet connection
During speedtests, colors indicate connection quality compared to modern standards. While for download and upload, higher values are better, the opposite is true for ping. After testing WiFi networks, you can add them as Spots to the map. In order to do so, pick if the Spot is free or pair.
Maybe, also leave a useful comment. Then pick a venue type and give the Spot a name. Tap Add SpeedSpot and the Spot will be instantly available to all SpeedSpot users.
The bigger a Spot, the faster the download speed. The greener a Spot, the faster the upload speed. White borders show free Spots, grey borders show you have to pay.
Filter spots
Reload all Spots or filter by Hotels, Cafes, Restaurants, Bars, Stores, Streets and more. Users can access the map settings and go to their current location. Tapping on spots brings out the detail view. Here you see all tests taken at this location, together with comments left by users.
The app connects with lots of other applications like TripAdvisor, Yelp, Google, so you can check out reviews. Users can also share spots via Twitter and Facebook and get directions.
All your tests are saved in the history section, tap a row to bring up additional functions. You can also change the sort order by tapping the column top. Test details can be posted on social networks and users can also calculate transfer times using the app.

It's a nice app but it could use some more features.
