DX is an e-commerce platform with a wide selection of gadgets, consumer electronics, flashlights, toys, cell phones, digital cameras and camcorders, life style gadgets, DIY parts and game accessories. However, the official app has some shortcomings and it could use more work.
Sleek UI with plenty of features
The interface doesn't come with a tutorial or any kind of instructions but it does sport a really intuitive layout, despite the fact that it doesn't use material design. All categories inside the app are displayed in a toolbar at the bottom of the screen, making it easy to switch from one to another.
The first thing that you need to do after launching the app is to register or log in to your account. However, it's quite difficult to do so, the registration screen only displays a few blanks that you need to fill in but it doesn't say what information it needs.
Browse through all sort of products
It launches with the home section, filled with staff picks, new arrivals, top selling items or the latest discounts. You can also check out product categories including car accessories, toys, computers, phones, sports and outdoors items, apparel and jewelry.
It displays product description and customer reviews from other people how have bought the item. Specifications and overview information is available. Users have the option to save the search criteria, so that they can access it later or add products to their favorites list.
Some shortcomings
It does have some flaws, in the specification page it doesn't mention if a product is out of stock. You'll only notice that in your shopping cart. If you hit back to shop for a similar item, you'll need to go through the categories all over again, which is quite inconvenient and very time consuming. It also doesn't have any search filters or options for sorting items.
Other than that, the user name on the home screen doesn't appear and it's replaced by your user ID. The app doesn't update information in your cart and it seems to crash when trying to complete the purchase. So it's best to just check out products using the app and actually purchase on your computer.
