Coffitivity is one of the strangest productivity apps out there. It might work on some people, but changes are quite low. In addition, it desperately needs more features, in its current form it only resembles a really poor ringtone app.
One of the most simplistic interfaces that we've ever seen
Google Play Store is a market filled with all sort of interesting apps, but every now and then we come across some that have lots of downloads and a high rating.
Sometimes, despite favorable comments and reviews, the apps have very few features and they are quite rudimentary compared to others on the network.
Coffitivity is one of such apps, you either like it or don't. It doesn't come with a tutorial or presentation of its features. But, frankly it has so very few tools that new users wouldn't need any tips.
Play all sort of background sounds
The whole concept behind this app is to provide users with the option to enable sounds that would run in the background. These sounds help them boost their productivity levels, by simply playing sounds in the background.
They resemble sounds that you might hear in a coffee shop, like people talking, coming and leaving or coffee brewing sounds. Unfortunately, it only comes with a short selection of three tracks that you can check out. Once you tap on play, the will continue playing until you pause them.
Some shortcomings
It doesn't have a controls bar at the top of the screen and you can adjust the volume only by using controls on your device. It has a settings menu on the top of the screen, but it doesn't open which means that you can't make any changes to the app's UI or its features.
It plays in the background, even if you close the application, which is quite nice. The app recreates sounds that some people might find useful when working, as they might provide some motivation.
You might find it useful, especially if you can't work in quiet places. Still, that doesn't mean that the app couldn't use some more features, or at least some more sounds or controls on the home screen.
