Audio Glow Music Visualizer 3.0.6
It's a nice visualizer application that lets you pick from multiple styles and makes it more entertaining to listen to music on your Android device. However, it does have some disadvantages, like the fact that not all features are free of charge.
Intuitive UI with not many sections
The app doesn't launch with a tutorial or any kind of instructions, which is quite inconvenient since new users could benefit from some tips. Still, you can find all sort of settings under the menu even if the app doesn't use material design.
The interface is quite simplistic, with only a list of tools under settings and animation on the main screen. It covers all of your screen, including the status area which might be quite annoying for some users. Still, there's a toolbar on the bottom of the screen, you can use it to skip or pause songs.
Enable visualization when listening to songs
The app lets you pick from four available visualization themes, but only two of them are free of charge. But you'll need to pay 1.79$ if you wish to use the other visualization themes.
The app displays the name of the artist and the song on the screen, on top of the animation. You can pick the text position or apply an old-film effect on the screen.
However, the latter feature might affect the performance of your app depending on your phone's specifications. There's also a feature that you can enable in order to brighten the background and the foreground to dim when no songs are playing.
More features
There's the option to make all sort of adjustments to the animation, like change the color, pick a color for the artist name or for the track. In addition, there are many general settings that you can check out, the app lets you auto-hide controls, show toggle buttons or show meta data if available.
The app connects automatically to your Google Play account so you could stream music from there. Still, it doesn't seem to work in the lock screen and it would really need some instructions.

Bottom Line
Design / UI7
The interface is nice, but it could use material design and some nicer animation since it's not quite HD. |
Function7
It works just fine, but it would have been nice if it displayed visualizations even in the lock screen. |
Security9
It only needs a few permissions from your phone, so you don't need to worry about privacy issues with this app. |
Battery7
Consumption isn't as high as you might think, but you still need to keep an eye on resources when using this app. |
Price8
It doesn't come with any ads, but some of the themes aren't free and users would have to pay 1.79$ in order to check them out. |
Compatibility8
The app should work on devices running Android version 2.3 or later, making it accessible to many users. |
It's a nice app but it does have some disadvantages.
