People value their privacy that's why Google Play Store comes with lots of apps that help you lock access to social networks, photos and messages stored on your device. One of such apps is App Lock by Lock App Master. It completely blocks access to your applications, keeping them safe.
Easy-to-use app without any tips
The app doesn't come with a tutorial or any kind of instructions, which is quite inconvenient. It's always nice to come across some tips that show new users all the neat things that they can do inside the app.
It doesn't need online registration but you will need to set a master pattern for unlocking apps. Unfortunately, you can only choose a pattern, there's no option of using a PIN or a password. It also lacks ways in which you can recover the pattern, in case you forget it.
Lock access to your apps
The first thing that you need to do after you launch the app is to create a pattern. Next, the app will display a list of all applications installed on your device. It even lets you lock system apps and updates, which is quite nice.
A toolbar on the bottom of the screen gives you access to all sort of features inside the app. You can use it to instantly lock/unlock all apps on your device with the tap of one finger. All applications are arranged into categories, like advanced apps or general.
Some settings and some flaws
Users can enable the lock on the app or disable it. You can change the pattern at any times, from the settings menu. It also lets you choose a lock time out, enable vibrate or sound. The app displays a notification in the status menu, showing users that the app was enabled.
There's no option of hiding the app's icon from the home screen. It has some disadvantages, when you launch a locked app, App Lock displays the home page and then the lock. It's inconvenient especially if you've locked messaging or social networking apps. In addition, it doesn't record attempts to hack the app.
