The app lets you select the remotes that you'd like to be featured on the home screen. You can also have the app automatically connect to the server in case the connection turns out.

The app is filled with all sort of brilliant features, it lets you transform your phone's screen into a remote control and lets you do all the things you normally do within the app. Unified Remote can also be used to manage files on your computer. You can access them easily or turn your phone into a keyboard.

Other than that, you can use the app as a general media remote to pause or fast-forward when watching movies or listening to music. You can also shutdown, restart, lock or put your computer into sleep mode. Still, not all features are free of charge some of them can only be unlocked if you upgrade to the premium version for 2.99$.
