Intuitive interface, multiple textures
Snapseed's UI is very intuitive. The app opens the respective photo for editing and displays a list of effects, textures and graphic options that you can use for any picture stored on your phone.
Sadly, the app doesn't let you access the camera, meaning that all photos that you would like to edit with Snapseed must already be saved on your device. It doesn't have a tutorial but it does come with instructions that can be accessed if you tap on the question mark on the top of the screen.
Snapseed's strong feature is its basic and creative adjustments, including frames, crop options, retro textures, vintage effects and many more. Also, the upper right icon in the app helps you compare an edited picture with the original one, making it easier to notice the changes.
You can apply multiple filters and effects on the same picture, the app shows you a list of all effects applied and the option to remove the ones that you don't like.
Autocorrect option with one tap
Another one of its strong points is the auto-correct option, that automatically adjusts the picture's color and exposure with a single tap on the screen.
Once you're done editing, you may choose to save the picture on your phone. However, the app doesn't allow you to choose a folder for saving pictures, which may be a disadvantage for SD card users.
You can re-edit any image or copy your edits from one photo to another. It also has brush tools to apply effects to sections of an image and Spot Repair for detailed editing, healing, and retouching.
Share edited photos via social media
Snapseed provides the possibility to share edited photos via social media accounts, bluetooth or email, but edited photos will be so unique that you won't resist and share them with friends.
The app uses minimal system resources and doesn't drain your phone battery. One of its misses is the fact that it only works on .jpeg pictures. In addition, Snapseed doesn't display ads of any sort nor does it require additional downloads of textures or other stuff.
