SideChef 1.2.7
Sleek interface with plenty of features at hand
The app sports a really nice UI hat makes it easy to navigate, especially since it launches with a tutorial showing new users all the neat things that they can do with the app. Once you're done reading the instructions, you'll need to register with an account, the app lets you use your Facebook or Google profiles to do so, or an email address.
A side menu gives you access to all sections inside the app including settings and your profile. You can upload a picture, change the username, add your location, a website or provide your followers with a bit of information about you. It also lets you turn off notifications.
Search for all sort of recipes
All recipes found inside the app are arranged into categories, like quick and easy dishes, mains, sides, desserts and drinks. The app is filled with all sort of recipes for the holidays, those based on ingredients on-hand, for certain dietary needs and dishes from all over the world.
But because endlessly scrolling through recipes may prove to be quite annoying, the app lets you add dishes to a separate section, so that you can access them fast and easily. There's also a search bar on top of the screen, letting you find everything you need and using tags.
Get detailed instructions on how to cook
The app lets you search through popular recipes, based on ingredients, regions, dish type and tags. Simply type in the key words or tap on the tags provided below. There's also the option of searching through users.
You can also like and share recipes online, change the units of measurements used inside the app and get voice instructions on how to cook recipes. The app uses computer generated voices but it's still a nice feature that some other cooking apps don't have. Users can upload their own recipes and follow their friends and other chefs from the network
