Privacy Inspector 1.2
Privacy Inspector scans your device and finds the apps that do so. It also claims to stop apps from stealing information but that's only available if you upgrade to the premium version for 2$ for a certain period of time but the app doesn't mention how long.
Dated UI with only a few features available
The app launches with a text, explaining its features and all the things that you can do inside the app. It lets users pick from displaying instructions whenever you tap on icons for the first time.
You can also view slides with tips on using the app. It doesn't come with material design or at least a menu with sections on a side. It does have a drawer for its tools, on the bottom of the screen. The app scans all applications on your phone and displays them in a grid.
Check privacy issues with apps
If you want to check the privacy issue of one app you'll have to scan it individually. Batch selection is available, you can scan up to 5 apps but it will take some time. Privacy Inspector will find issues related to the app, like privacy intrusions and more. It displays a rating of the app, together with some permissions that each app needs.
However, it could use some more details on issues so that new users would better understand the threats to their privacy. It should also mention in which way some apps may pose threats to personal information stored on phones.
Some tools
You can post information from the app on your Facebook wall or on Tweeter. You can also send it in an email. Threats can only be solved if you upgrade to the premium version for 2$. The app doesn't even come with a manager that would help users uninstall applications.
You could consider it a rudimentary preview of the premium version, in the sense that it doesn't even inform you of what issues need to be solved and only encourages users to buy without even proving that the app works. It definitely needs to provide a trial period, during which users could better understand the app and the features that it offers.

Bottom Line
Design / UI7
The UI is a bit unappealing, it comes in gray colors and it doesn't use material design or at least some animation. |
Function5
It's quite difficult to say what the app does, since many of its main features are locked in the premium version. |
Security9
It only needs permission from some areas of your phone, so you don't have to worry about privacy issues. |
Battery8
Consumption is normal, the app definitely won't drain your resources. |
Price6
It doesn't come with any ads, but it's completely useless without upgrading to the premium version for 2$. |
Compatibility9
It should work on devices running Android version 1.6 or later, making the app available to many users. |
