PeeperPeeper 2.4
There are many applications that could help you with that, PeeperPeeper is one of them. It lets you set up a password and lock access to applications installed on your device.
A bit dated UI but it's very colorful
The app launches with a tutorial, but you can access it only after you've setup a pin code to protect access inside the app. Afterward, you can check out some instructions showing users how to access features and how to deny access to some of their applications.
The UI is quite simplistic, but it comes in really bright colors and it doesn't have any customization features. It lacks material design, users can't make any significant changes to the UI of the functionality of the app.
It doesn't let you set a password or pattern, only a pin code. It also lacks some double security features, meaning you'll have to remember the pin because if you forget it the app can't help you retrieve the number.
Protect your apps
People store lots of personal information inside applications, like credit card numbers, messages, calls, pictures and more. PeeperPeeper lets you lock certain applications, their icons will still appear on the screen but if someone accesses them, a crash message will be posted and the app uses your phone's front camera to snap a picture of the person who's trying to peep.
You can see the pictures and which apps they tried to access, in a separate section inside PeeperPeeper's interface. You can lock as many applications as you like.
More features
If you wish to unlock an app, simply tap on it and select unprotect. Applications can also be safely launched from within PeeperPeeper. Other than that, there aren't many features inside this app.
You can't pick another blocking method, you can't hide app icons from your drawer or make some other changes to the UI. It comes with banner ads that are tiresome to the eye, considering that the whole UI is very colorful and bright.
It has a whole separate section for checking out other applications created by the same developer, but there's no option of removing the ads or unlocking new features. It even has a link that you must open in your browser, but it has suggestions of other apps in a foreign language.

Bottom Line
Design / UI7
The app is very bright and colorful, without providing users with that many features or customization options. |
Function7
It works, but it's quite limited, there are plenty of other similar apps that offer more for free. |
Security6
It needs access only to a few areas of your phone, but it does manage to do its job and deny access to some of your apps, but it needs more work. |
Battery7
Consumption is normal, the app shouldn't drain your resources even after extended use. |
Price6
It comes with banner ads and a whole section with apps created by the same developer, but it has no option of removing the ads. |
Compatibility8
It should work on devices running Android version 2.3.3 or later, making the app accessible to many users. |
It's a nice app, but it could use some more features and tools.
