OS8 Lock Screen 2.1
It imitates the design of iPhone6 and OS8 theme. However, keep in mind that the app misbehaves at times and may leave your phone unlocked even though lock options were activated.
Beautiful design with plenty to offer
The app doesn't come with a tutorial or any kind of instructions. It simply launches with the settings menu letting new users understand the interface on their own. But the GUI isn't complicated at all, you have a list of features and settings with the option to enable them easily.
It doesn't use material design, nor does it have a side menu with features but you shouldn't have any trouble using this app since the UI is quite intuitive. It does however have ads, which is quite inconvenient considering that there's no option of removing them with an upgrade.
Lock your screen with this nice app
The app imitates the design of iPhone6 and OS8 theme, but it's a bit ill-fitted on certain devices. For example, on the Nexus 5 the wallpaper doesn't cover the area behind the controls and it displays a small part of your home screen wallpaper.
This is quite annoying, since it ruins the look of your entire lock screen as the wallpaper is cut off. Still, the app provides users with the option of shifting between two lock styles, each equally nice. But both of them are a bit ill-fitted. To keep your phone protected, you can lock it with a passcode or pattern.
More features
The app comes with a beautiful default wallpaper, but you can add whichever picture you like from your gallery and even crop it to better fit your screen. Pick from the two time formats available and change the color of time and date. You can also enable lock sound and vibration, or change the color of unlock tips.
The app also has some shortcomings, it doesn't display notifications which is quite annoying considering that you don't always want to unlock your phone in order to check out if you've received an email or a text message. In addition, controls for music players don't work and at times the app crashes, leaving your phone unprotected.

Bottom Line
Design / UI9
The interface is really nice, it displays a list of all settings and lets users adjust them freely while checking out previews. |
Function6
It has two skins and lots of features, but doesn't display notifications or player controls and it sometimes crashes. |
Security8
The app only needs a few permissions from your phone, it shouldn't pose any privacy issues. |
Battery9
Consumption is higher than for your stock lock screen, but barely noticeable the app won't drain your resources. |
Price8
It's completely free of charge, but has some ads and no option of removing them with an upgrade. |
Compatibility9
It should work on devices running Android version 2.3 or later, making the app accessible to many users. |
It's a nice app but it needs some improvements, especially in the stability area.
