Music Radio - 6 Seconds 2.2.1
Easy-to-use but rudimentary interface with few features
The app doesn't come with a tutorial or any kind of features that you could use in order to better understand the app. It launches directly with the home screen letting users figure the app on their own.
There are some tips under the overflow icon on the top right corner of the screen, they explain the basics of this app and show users what to do in order to skip tracks and search for the song that they're interested in. It doesn't use material design, in exchange it opens sections if you swipe the screen in any direction.
Search for your favorite songs playing at all sort of stations
Music Radio - 6 Seconds doesn't mention the number of radio stations that it accesses, but it does a pretty good job at streaming stations from all over the world. Swipe the screen right in order to shift through songs playing at stations.
You can also search for them manually by typing in the name of the artist or song into the search bar on the bottom of the screen. The app provides you with suggestions of songs by the same artist that are currently playing. Songs listed at the top are near the beginning, usually within the first 6 seconds.
More features
To find a specific style of a music search for a representative artist. The app will display stations that play that artist or similar music if the specific song isn't available. You can favorite a song by clicking the star next to the song name.
Click on an artist name when a song is playing to instantly get a list of every song available by that artist. You can also bookmark favorite stations by clicking the star next to their name.
Then swipe down to go directly to those stations. You have to be patient with the app, since it takes a few seconds to load album art and to update the name of the song playing. In addition, it should display more information on the station and let users search for whichever station they wish or filter them by location.

Bottom Line
Design / UI8
The interface seems a bit dated, it could use material design and many more features at hand. |
Function8
Sound quality is okay for most stations, but the app takes a while to update song information displayed on the screen. |
Security5
It's quite an intrusive app, it needs many permissions from your phone, some to areas that aren't connected to its features like accounts on the device and text messages. |
Battery8
Consumption is normal for a radio app, but still keep an eye on resources when using this app. |
Price10
The app doesn't come with ads and it's completely free of charge. |
Compatibility8
It should work on devices running Android version 4.0 or later, making the app available to many users. |
It's a nice app but it could use some improvements.
