Simplistic GUI, focusing on fluent use
You'd expect such an app to be rather intuitive and MP3 Cutter and Ringtone Maker really is. However, it might be a bit too simplistic and with poor animation. There are no settings of any kind, this app isn't for extended use. Still, it comes with plenty of instructions although developers choose to keep things simple.
Simply cut any file and turn it into a ringtone
The great thing about this app is that it's really easy to use. It scans your media files and displays them, so that you can choose the song you wish to cut, after which it provides you with all the instructions you need, in order to do so.
There's an icon that you can set on the position where you wish the song to start and a second which must be pinpointed to where you want the ringtone to end. The app comes with the option of zooming in or out, to make it easier to cut the song.
The app also displays information on the song, like the type of format, duration and frequency. In addition to that, you can tap on the animation or use the icons to rewind the song, but when you unpause the song, audio streaming is restarted from the beginning.
Create ringtones, alarms and more
You can use a song from your gallery to create ringtones or record audio. The app works with many formats of audio songs, so you don't need to worry about that. In addition, you can create alarms, so you'd wake up to the sound of your favorite music, notifications or even music files. All files are saved as mp3 and you can set them as your default ringtone or alarm, directly from within the app.
All in all, MP3 Cutter and Ringtone Maker is a good app for making basic ringtones, but it could use an upgrade with more features and tools, including one that would allow the app to merge two songs or use an equalizer to change it.
