Learn Languages: Rosetta Stone 2.3.11
Fortunately, there are Android apps that could help you with that, one of them is Learn Languages: Rosetta Stone. Use it to learn 19 languages, but don't rely on it to get to intermediate level as applications can't really replace full language courses.
Sleek interface with plenty to offer
The app launches directly with the registration page, you'll need to sign in to your account or create a demo one to continue. It only needs your email address, name and country of origin to register you on the market.
When you're done with that, you'll need to select the voice of the character that best describes your voice, pick from that of a lady, man or child. Next you'll be able to pick the language that you'll like to learn, the app comes with 19 languages to choose from everything from Chinese, Arabic, Dutch, Russian and many more.
Start learning languages
It takes a while to load courses, but it's well worth it. All lessons are divided into units and the app lets users know how long one unit lasts. They help you learn the basics about pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing in all sort of languages. Units get more difficult as you progress inside the app.
You'll need headsets and a microphone in order to complete lessons and the app even lets you setup sound and adjust settings. It also tells you how much time you've spent doing exercises, so there's really no way to cheat the app into thinking that you've completed them.
Some settings
In addition to that, the app provides you with a score at the end of each exercise cycle and lets you know how many questions you've gotten right, incorrect or skipped. It also lets you skip learners so you can log multiple users in the same app.
In addition, you can change the language at any time or adjust speech precision and change the voice type. Moreover, you can adjust learning focus if you wish to develop only your reading and writing skills or your speaking and listening. The demo version only offers a glimpse of what you can find inside the app, if you wish to unlock all courses you'll need to pay 176.79$ for all courses.

Bottom Line
Design / UI9
The interface is quite nice and it makes good use of animation, although it's only available in landscape mode making it perfect for tablets. |
Function9
It works just fine and exercises are really helpful, regardless of your level of knowledge. |
Security9
It needs online registration and some permissions from your phone but it shouldn't really pose any privacy issues. |
Battery6
Expect consumption to be relatively high, so it would be best if you plugged your device in when using this app. |
Price7
It comes with a demo version and the price of all courses is 176.79$, a bit steep if you ask us. |
Compatibility8
It should work on devices running Android version 3.0 or later, making it accessible to many users. |
It's a nice app but it really is expensive.
