File Expert with Clouds V7.1.0
It's only normal that Google Play Store is filled with all sort of file managers that you can use on your phone. File Expert with Clouds is one of those apps, however it comes with more features compared to some of the other file managers that we'v come across.
Nice UI with plenty of features
The app launches directly with some onscreen tips for showing users how to access features inside the app. It doesn't use material design, you'll find settings and options on a toolbar at the bottom of the screen.
All sections are arranged into tabs at the top of the screen, you can view your personal files arranged into categories, browse through folders or other types of files.
The app even comes with a feature that lets you pair two phones together and share content between them. You can add whichever tabs you like, including a browser.
Manage your files easily
It displays the size of each folder on your phone, so that you could see which one takes up the most space. Batch selection is available, you can adjust the view and change it to grid view if you like.
The app also lets you make all the common operations when managing files, like cut items and move them to another folder, copy to another location, save to pdf, set as wallpaper if it's a picture or compress in an archive.
You can also share files with friends on social networks. The app also lets you register for a GeekSoft account, so you can transfer files easier and get storage data in the cloud. It provides support for opening and decompressing features of compressed files in Large File Analysis and displays hidden files in copying and moving.
More features
It comes with some themes to choose from, together with the option to select from view modes and some more customization options. Root access is also available, the app even displays hidden files on your phone.
It lets you backup data on your GCloud account but it doesn't mention the amount of space available and the feature doesn't always work. It comes with a Web PC Suite.
Turn your mobile phone into a HTTP Server and visit it wirelessly on PC or tablet in a Windows style interface. Double click on APK file to install it to your phone. You can also access various cloud services, like Google Drive, Dropbox, Box.net, Yandex, SkyDrive, SugarSync, Ubuntu One and more.

Bottom Line
Design / UI7
The interface is really nice but it should come with a more intuitive and fluent layout, with more shortcuts. |
Function8
Backup doesn't really work and the app doesn't mention the storage available in your GCloud account, but it has all the basic features that you might need. |
Security6
It needs access to many areas of your phone, it's quite an intrusive app. |
Battery7
Consumption is normal, you don't have to worry about the app draining your resources. |
Price9
It comes with some ads to other apps, but you can remove them for free in the settings menu. |
Compatibility8
It should work on devices running Android version 4.1 or later. |
It's one of the best file managers that we've ever come across.
