Default Music Player 1.5
One of those simplistic applications is Default Music Player. It's quite rudimentary but it works, although you could probably find many more music players that offer a lot more free tools.
Straightforward but dated interface with no customization options
The app doesn't come with a tutorial or any kind of instructions, which is quite inconvenient considering that people could always benefit from some instructions to help them better understand the app and access its features.
It doesn't use material design and it doesn't even have a side menu with features or settings that you could access. The UI is quite boring and dated, it comes in gray colors, the only splash of color is that of banner ads on the bottom of the screen.
There's no option of removing them which is quite inconvenient. The app has controls in the lock screen but those on the notification bar are written in white on a same color background which means that you can't really read them.
Play your favorite music
Default Music Player doesn't take long to scan your device and display a list of all artists, albums and songs stored on your device. It can also load playlists that you have saved on your device, but it doesn't seem to have any features for creating new ones.
In addition, it doesn't let users explore files on their device and retrieve songs manually which is quite inconvenient. It also doesn't let you refresh the search. While we're on the subject, the app doesn't come with a search bar.
Many flaws and missing features
Aside from that, icons in the player mode are ill-fitted and the app doesn't come with an equalizer, which is one of the most basic features that almost any music player has. You can shuffle songs or play them randomly, but it's missing a sleep timer and even a car mode.
All in all, the application works but it has many flaws. We've come across some music players with artistic and interesting interfaces but Default Music Player sports a really dull UI. It's also missing an exit button. Other than that, it's missing some essential tools, like an equalizer and a sleep timer. It's quite a stable player but we're sure users could do better.
