Although Google Play Store is filled with all sort of photography apps, it's still difficult to find one that meets all requirements and comes in a sleek interface.

Some are too simplistic and only offer a limited number of editing tools, while others just seem a bit too complicated and take long to edit a simple picture. Camu is somewhat in between, it comes with nice filters that can be applied even before pictures are snapped but the variety of editing tools is quite limited.

Sleek and lightweight interface

The app doesn't really have an interface, it actually opens with the camera mode and only has a menu for settings. Instructions are provided on the screen, together with tips on how to access all features inside the app.

These are extremely necessary considering that the functionality of this app relies mostly on gestures that users must make on the screen. The app doesn't have too many icons as to leave enough space for displaying images and applying filters on them.

The settings menu doesn't offer many options for customizing the app, it only lets you turn off sound effect for when pictures are taken.

Apply filters and snap pictures

The app uses gestures in order to apply filters. Simply swipe the screen left or right to shift through filters and adjust them by tapping on the screen. This will let you change the focus area or adjust brightness.

The same can be done if you swipe the screen up or down. The camera can be shifted if you tap on the top right corner of the screen. You can modify the filter even after pictures were taken.

The same goes with recording videos. Filters can also be applied on them and you can blur images if you'd like. The set of filters combines the best tones for portraits and lifestyle in a collection that illuminates natural beauty in all. You can also add text to your pictures.

Save and share pictures or videos

When you're done editing, you can save pictures or videos to your phone or share them on social networks. Moreover, the app lets you create collages with up to 4 pictures or adjust the size ratio of photos. The menu also offers the option of enabling a timer or the flash on the rear camera on you phone.

But other than that, the app doesn't come with many more features or tools. It's quite simplistic compared to the multitude of photography apps on Google Play Store, which means that it needs some unique features in order to stand out.
