Google Play Store is filled with all sorts of app lockers, some more efficient than others. App Lock is easy-to-use and provides protection to your sensitive data.
Intuitive interface with plenty of tips
The app doesn’t come with instructions, but opens with a step-by-step customization page. Firstly, users are required to set a password, type in a security question and hint for when they may forget the code and choose a pattern.
Next the locker opens with a whole list of all apps on your device and the option of locking them. The menu filled with settings is located on the top right corner of the screen. You can turn on the app and enable the uninstall lock.
Change the skin or password
Unlike some lockers, this one comes with three skins to choose from, black, dark gray or wood. They’re not spectacular but may be useful when you get bored of the background.
Still, other apps provide more customization options. Next the app provides users with the option of changing passwords or pattern locks if they wish, but you can’t change the security question or answer.
There’s also animation but if you tap on the icon, it only opens a page with other apps by the developer and the suggestion to try them also. But the icon doesn’t appear again, so if you were thinking about trying some of those apps, you won’t be able to find them within the lock again.
Lock apps
It’s quite easy to lock apps, simply tap on the locker on the right side and you’ll be able to restrict access to those applications installed on your phone. Other than that, the app is rather simplistic it doesn’t come with an email address for recovering passwords, no option to use a fake error message or a finger scanner.
But it comes with a lock timeout, apps that aren’t used would be relocked after the time ends or the screen is off. The app doesn’t offer remote locking options and fails to stand out among other similar lockers.
