There are many ways in which you can customize your phone, aside from changing the launcher, wallpaper or icons on your device. But a good customization app also has extra features that would make it easier to use your Android phone and do various things.

One of such apps is AcDisplay. It's a nice lock screen application that manages your notifications and has neat features for you to use.

Sleek design but with only a few customization features

AcDisplay launches with plenty of instructions and tips on how to use and configure the app to make the most of its features. The app will inform you about new notifications by showing a minimal screen allowing you to open them directly from the lock screen. However, you won't be able to reply to messages from this screen and you'll need to launch your designated app.

However, AcDisplay doesn't really come with wallpapers to choose from, it can only display a dark or a transparent background. Still, it shines through the many features that it offers as well as the unlock animation that it uses.

Manage your notifications easily

The lock screen displays the time and date, together with the battery status if you enable it. Notifications are also displayed on the screen, you can adjust the size of icons and simply tap and hold to view. Open them directly from the app, so that you wouldn't waste any time launching the actual app.

You can dismiss them by simply swiping down. AcDisplay needs some permissions from your system, so make sure to enable them for the app to work perfectly. The app also comes with an active mode that uses the device's sensors to wake your device up when you need it, but the tool doesn't really work at times.

Other features

You can also disable the app during certain hours of the day or make your device sleep after a few seconds of inactivity. This would help reduce battery consumption on your phone. In addition, the app provides users with the ability to launch a camera or a dialer by swiping from a specified corner of the screen.

The app uses animation in order to unlock your phone, but unfortunately it doesn't really come with any security tools, like the option to lock your device using a PIN, password or pattern.

The app also lets you exclude notifications from certain applications, simply pick them in the blacklist section so that new notifications won't appear from them. Still, it would have been nice if the app let users set their own custom wallpaper and provide them with a sound when phone is unlocked.
