100filters 5.5.1
They mostly have basic editing tools and stickers for pictures, or the option to create collages. 100filters only comes with a pack of filters and effects, but it's lacking any other tools aside from some cropping options.
Ordinary UI with some features
The app doesn't come with any tutorial or tips that would get new users accustomed to the app, but you wouldn't really need them since the app's interface is quite intuitive and doesn't have that many sections.
It simply launches with the home screen, giving you the option to snap pictures instantly or import images from the gallery. It doesn't come with a settings menu or any kind of tools for choosing the destination folder and the format of the output image. Moreover, it saves images in a lower resolution than that of original images. Your last saved images are displayed on the home screen.
Apply all sort of filters on your pictures
Before you can actually explore sections of the app and start applying filters, you'll need to crop images. The app doesn't let you keep the original size and forces you to crop pictures in a square shape before editing them.
Next, you'll be able to pick one of the 100 filters available inside the app. Most of them are really fun and unique, like vortex ones that also let you change the focus on the screen and play with the image by simply touching the screen. It lets you apply multiple filters on the same image and it also comes with shapes for your pictures.
Some shortcomings
Certain filters come with the option of adjusting transparency or colors on your picture, but the app actually lacks these features and doesn't even have basic tools for editing.
All filters are placed on the bar at the bottom of the page, you'll need to continuously swipe left to get through all of them. It would have been nice if filters would have been arranged into packs and categories, to make is easier to navigate through them.
Tap the save button, but be patient as the app takes a while to do so and then share images online. All in all, 100filters is a really limited app with filters that aren't even that great and without basic editing tools.

Bottom Line
Design / UI6
The interface is okay but it would have been nice if filters were arranged into categories as to make it easier to navigate. |
Function6
It doesn't have a reverse button and the filters aren't even that great, except for the vortex ones. |
Security9
No online registration and it only accesses your gallery on the phone, the app shouldn't pose any privacy issues. |
Battery1
Power consumption is really high, the app is the ultimate power drainer. |
Price8
It comes with ads and there's no option of removing them. |
Compatibility7
Although it has few features, it still needs devices running 4.0 or later in order to work. |
One of the worst photo editing apps that we've ever seen.
